TPCE LE Data Acquisition Card

The Elsys TPCE-LE data acquisition (DAQ) cards are high-resolution digitizers with sophisticated features such as advanced trigger mode, continuous data acquisition mode, differential inputs, digital input lines (Markers) and ICP coupling for powering piezo sensors.

The various TPCE-LE cards are compact short-form PCI Express (PCIe) card. A scalable data acquisition system may be started with one or several cards that can be extended in the future to build a solution with up to 64-channels in one housing. This is the advantage of a modular data acquisition system.

Input Range

The possibility to configure the input range allows to use the full 14 or 16 Bit analog-digital converter resolution for different input signal levels.

The following input ranges can be set individualy on each channel:

  • 200 mV, 400 mV, 1 V
  • 2 V, 5 V, 10 V
  • 25 V, 50 V

The common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of a differential amplifier (or other device) is the tendency of the devices to reject the input signals common to both input leads. A high CMRR is important in applications where the signal of interest is represented by a small voltage fluctuation superimposed on a (possibly large) voltage offset, or when relevant information is contained in the voltage difference between two signals. (An example is audio transmission over balanced lines.)

  • All cards can be upgraded to 128 MS memory per channel (64 MS for 8 channel cards).
  • For 16-Bit boards the resolution can be switched between 14 and 16 per board. If 16 bit is enabled, digital marker inputs are not available.
